Slide of Spheres, 2006

620 x 250 cm

North East Medical Center, North Carolina

This installation is part of the live-in environment for young people undergoing medical treatment. The work is intended to infuse the space with optimism and playfulness. The colors reflect a child's sensitivity - colors children naturally use, and are attracted to in their own coloring and imaginings on paper with crayons.

It was a great opportunity to incorporate our work into a social context within which it conveys lightness and a fun sense of engagement. Passing through two floors of an enclosed atrium, there are 160 blown spheres that run along a twenty feet height and eight foot width.
